The Vision of Strong Like Mom

Strong Like Mom envisions a society that embraces and uplifts all single mothers, regardless of the circumstances that led them to become a single mom. We strive to establish a community where these mothers and their families are acknowledged, respected, and empowered to flourish. Our goal is to challenge stereotypes and cultivate an atmosphere of strength, resilience, kindness, and unity. We envision a world where every single mother, no matter where she is in her journey, is celebrated for her inherent capabilities. In this vision, children grow up in supportive and uplifting communities that genuinely value and honor their mothers.

At Strong Like Mom, our mission is multifaceted and anchored in our four pillars: Education, Advocacy, Empowerment, and Service. We are dedicated to fostering a community where single mothers and their families are not only recognized, respected, and empowered; but also actively engaged in service to one another. Together, we strive to create a world where single mothers, at every stage of their journey, are celebrated for their inherent capabilities, and their children thrive in communities that value and honor their mothers. Through the expansion of our initiatives in these domains, our goal is to enact substantial transformation, fostering a world where women and their families can thrive.

Single mothers and their families exemplify resilience, resourcefulness, and wholeness. This awareness positively impacts the lives of their children, and we've observed the uplifting influence that emerges when the community collaborates in love and support, respecting her position and dignity.

  • We are committed to raising awareness about the authentic identity of single mothers and seek to establish partnerships with individuals and organizations that can both support SLM and derive value from our services. Our advocacy is focused on empowering single mothers by shifting the narrative from one of misfortune to one of strength. We believe in providing assistance from a position of power, and we help single mothers find their voices and advocate for themselves and their families.

  • Empowerment is at the core of our organization. At Strong Like Mom, we firmly believe in empowering women to recognize and harness their innate strengths. We provide a supportive community where women can find encouragement, inspiration, and the resources necessary to overcome obstacles. Through community, practical skills workshops, and personal development initiatives, we aim to instill confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self-worth. By empowering women, we foster their ability to advocate for themselves, their children and others, pursuing their dreams and becoming agents of change.
