There are many ways to help

  • Encouragement

This one is for everyone! Sometimes, the heaviest burden a single mom carries is the feeling that she's letting her children down and that she’s not enough. If you know a single mom, just tell her she's noticed. If you're familiar with her kids, reassure her that they're polite and well-behaved. Tell her that she’s doing a good job. A few kind words can really lift her spirits and make a lasting difference.

  • Spread the Word

Be a catalyst for change by spreading the word about Strong Like Mom’s mission and programs. Do you know a single mom or a single mom in recovery? Let her know that there’s a safe and fun community for her to join! Join our FB and Instagram communities as an ally. Share our pages and events within your networks. Share our website! Inspire others to join us in supporting and uplifting single mothers.

  • Childcare Volunteers

Make a meaningful impact in a child's life while supporting single moms. We always welcome volunteers to provide childcare during our meetings and events at both locations, Everett and Eastside. Your time and care can help us create a nurturing environment for both moms and their children. Please email us if your interested!

  • Volunteer your Time

We are looking for positive role models to fill the roster for our Youth Mentorship Program. From young HS grads to grandparent types, we have a kid who would love to hang out with you.

The Mentorship program will launch in Spring 2024, please email us if you’re interested.

  • Volunteer your expertise

Our Life Skills Workshops are designed to teach women those tasks that they might otherwise rely on someone else for, putting them in a vulnerable position. We are looking for tradespeople and professionals to teach a 2hr workshop to our moms. Topics range from basic auto and home maintenance to mental health and wellbeing and finances. Workshops are launching in 2024. Please email us if you’re interested or would like to suggest a topic!
